USL League One News

The United Soccer League confirmed plans to launch a Division One men's professional league in 2027 defined by the sanctioning standards of the U.S. Soccer Federation, rivaling Major League Soccer.

Brazil great Ronaldinho has joined the ownership group behind United Soccer League (USL) clubs Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty, the teams announced Wednesday.

USWNT and Juventus winger Tim Weah has joined the ownership group of Brooklyn FC, which will operate women's and men's teams in the United Soccer League.

USL CEO Paul McDonough expressed disappointment at the U.S. Soccer Federation's handling of a dispute involving MLS and the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which is having a ripple effect on the USL.

The USL is set to vote on whether to adopt promotion and relegation between its divisions, a source confirmed to ESPN.
